The Forge - PromptEase Docs

The Forge is PromptEase's core feature — a guided, conversational prompt builder that creates optimized AI prompts through a simple question-and-answer flow. No prompt engineering knowledge required.

How the Forge works

Select output language

Choose which language your prompt should be in. Default is English. Pro and Max users can select from 8 languages including Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Portuguese, German, and Japanese.

Pick a prompt type

Choose from 8 categories. This determines which questions you'll be asked and how the AI generates your prompt.

Enter your title or topic

Type what you want to create. Suggestion chips appear based on your prompt type to help you get started.

Answer guided questions

The Forge asks 4-6 questions about your needs — who it's for, what tone, what format, and any extra context. Click options instead of typing.

Receive your prompt

Claude AI generates your optimized prompt and scores it across 5 quality dimensions (0-100).

Prompt types

The Forge supports 8 prompt types, each with its own tailored questions:

🎨 Image Generation — Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Flux
🎬 Video Generation — Sora, Runway, Kling, Pika
💻 Code & Technical — code generation, debugging, architecture
📊 Business & Strategy — analysis, strategy, reports, pitches
🔬 Research & Analysis — deep research, summaries, fact-finding
🤖 Chatbot / Agent — system prompts for GPTs and AI agents
🎵 Audio & Music — Suno, Udio, ElevenLabs voice prompts

Usage limits

Free users get 10 lifetime prompts. Each prompt generation uses 1 credit. Earn +20 bonus prompts for every friend you refer.

Prompt refinements (remix) also count as 1 usage. Browsing templates, viewing history, and training lessons do not count.

Suggestion chips

After choosing your prompt type, the Forge shows 6 clickable suggestion chips — real-world examples based on your selected type. Click one to auto-fill the title field, or type your own.

Extra context field

The final step in every forge flow is an optional free-text field where you can add any extra context the AI needs — your brand name, specific requirements, things to avoid, or any detail not covered by the questions. This is where power users get the best results.

Pro tip: The more context you give in the final field, the more tailored your prompt will be. Include your brand name, target audience specifics, or example style references.
